One of the increasingly prominent questions in strategy and management relates to understanding how firms, governments and other organizational actors may address pressing societal issues and deliver broader public value. In this workshop, we will examine and reflect on the latest insights at the intersection of organizational governance, collaborative strategies, and societal challenges. Drawing upon recent research, we will explore the role of novel organizational forms and explore three key tensions that such organizing should address (cooperation, coordination, and co-optation) to achieve broader societal value.
