Download the presentation - 4.01 MB
In recent years, various scholars have studied how firms make consequential operational, strategic, and locational investment decisions -- such as where to locate establishments or expand employment -- with a view to influencing political decision-makers and the non-market environment. In this workshop, we will examine this emerging literature to understand how scholars have studied such Economic Influence Activities, both theoretically and empirically. The workshop will be oriented towards learning about fruitful directions for future research in this area, by focusing on key open questions, as well as empirical challenges.
