The main purpose of this lecture is to provide a survey of what we know on the reform of network industries in developing countries, The presentation draws on a survey of both the empirical and the theoretical research on the topic. Given the time constraints, the overview of the theory will focus on the challenges associated with the institutional dimensions of regulatory reform in developing countries.
